Enhancing One's Literacy Experience With Technology

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

This literacy workshop will share classroom instructional techniques for teaching and building skills within our teachers and students. Mentoring and modeling remains a fundamental element to quality instruction. Technology only enhances that with mentor texts, online writer's notebooks, and interactive writing as well as prerecorded writing examples in which the author talks through his or her process in a think-a-loud fashion. Knowing that novelty and engagement share a direct link, many different styles of delivery as well as instruction will be shared. Feedback, reflection, and revision will play a critical role in learning through this class and one's instruction as well. Technology utilized for teaching both persuasive and narrative writing vary greatly but will be modeled using Zoom. Other resources can be adapted especially for feedback whether live or recorded.
