Rich Newberg, retired WIVB reporter, has documented on the West Valley site and his archived recordings highlight its history and challenges. New York State's Civic Readiness Initiative complements a research, S.T.E.M., ISTE and cross-curricular standards for project-based learning that engages students in the classroom and/or through distance-learning. This presentation will provide attendees with an intermediate and commencement curriculum with links to free resources including archived videos, documents, and newspapers. Using a cross-curricular approach for project-based learning, students create one project that meets learning standards for various content areas, allowing multiple teachers to assess learning.
