Blended learning is a type of instructional model used to foster learning both inside and outside of the classroom. Blended learning encompasses many different learning activities including flipped learning, direct instruction, collaborative discussions, and hands-on activities. This type of instruction can be beneficial for all students including students with disabilities and English Language Learners (ELLs). Just as with blended learning, the TPACK (Technological, Pedagogical, Content, and Knowledge) framework also focuses on increasing student engagement, motivation, and learning. The purpose of this case study is to inform educators of best practice in developing successful blended opportunities that integrate technology appropriately and effectively into teaching and learning.
