Come learn about our #WeArePlainedge High School Television & Video Production course! A unique, enriching, and authentic opportunity that encourages and empowers students to think creatively and critically and turn their ideas into innovative products while they learn the technical aspects of audio and visual production. Students enter the course with little to no production experience beyond using the basic features of their cell phone cameras. Our course fosters their desire to learn more about the media that surrounds them. You will hear about many of the technologies including the Tricaster Switcher, iMovie, and Adobe Rush. We also will include cost-effective ways to create a similar program. Learn how students are given opportunities to extend their learning beyond the classroom and into the wider Plainedge community through live-streaming of events including concerts, sporting events and other school and community activities. Through this course, students are learning to be thinkers, designers, producers, team members, and leaders while they engage in authentic, enjoyable learning opportunities.
