Cybersecurity Concept Area: Unpacking the NYSED Computer Science and Digital Fluency Standards

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

The Cybersecurity standards prepare students to understand why data and computing resources need to be protected, who might access them, and why they might do so whether intentionally malicious or not. It is important that students know how to employ basic safeguards to protect data and computing resources and how to appropriately respond if a breach occurs.  Join this session to learn how the cybersecurity concept area of the NYSED Computer Science and Digital Fluency Standards can be unpacked, or turned into teachable learning targets that aid educators in purposeful instructional planning that supports student achievement and standards mastery.
