Latimer unites science and magic to inspire curiosity in STEM education. Jason Latimer is a world champion magician, a TV host, curator of the iconic Fleet Science Center as well as the creator of the Impossible Science program found in museums throughout California and Oregon. Jason transforms magic concepts such as invisibility, levitation, animation, mind control and many other topics into creative learning opportunities with STEM education to encourage curiosity in all ages. Due to COVID-19, Jason has been working around the clock making Impossible Science available to all educators interested in engaging students with STEM activities during distance learning. Impossible Science At Home is a free resource that provides videos of science and magic, experiments & illusions, and NGSS lesson plans direct from Jason's museum program. Impossible Science converts Jason's activities of the impossible into in-home learning for all ages with the items you can find around your home. In his discussion, Jason will be focusing on the need for wonder in education and his secret to how he inspires hundreds of thousands of kids every year in STEM. Learn to inspire wonder and to make the impossible possible with the Curator of Impossible Science.
